the best driving sim i've played so far. really fun game if you like driving this is the game for you even if youre not into trucks. Not sure why I like ETS2, or this game so much. It is very relaxing most of the time, though the AI has it's moments where it becomes frustrating. It's not the most accurate sim, or fair either if you have detours on. You have more exits and roads in real life and in ETS2 while this game has fewer options. But it is still fun, and you can turn off detours. I play with a Steam controller so I am missing a lot of buttons like drop axle and retarder and whatnot, I have them set to auto. I still have functions like shifting, parking brake, diff lock, the more fun or important things to have bound. And that's what it's about, fun. You can customize and turn off a lot of things. You never have to park a trailer yourself if you don't want to.Turn off traffic offenses, rain, detours etc.
Devs are constantly working on content to add, though work is slow due to licensing and the quality.
Only real complaint is how the torque/hp works in this game. They SEVERELY underestimate how much pulling power these trucks have. I have my transmission selected properly for towing heavy loads but there are times you have to slow to a crawl on a main highway, like 25mph or slower and downshift constantly to avoid stalling, with a 2150ft lb torque engine. Even if you stay at the RPM where the "Peak torque" is supposedly, doesn't help at all.. Almost as good as Euro Truck Simulator. ATS has more boring roads and terrain at a lot of places which makes ETS still my favorite truck sim. I have never been to the USA so no idea how realistic the terrain is, but it is probably boring in real life as well :)
Other than that it is basically the same simulator game as ETS, ATS just needs to grow some more with more maps/states you can drive through. I am also missing a nice vegetation mod in ATS, the default vegetation could be better (except for the palm trees).
I have also found a few minor issues with speed limits, such as a town center with a 55mph speed limit, but those minor issues are also present in ETS.
90/100. This is a great truck driving game 🚛🚚. If you think you would enjoy driving a truck, you will like this game. If you do not think you would enjoy driving a truck, you will not like this game.
6/10. Very Active and Friendly game, I’ll keep on trucking!!. This game is amazing! I get to live the dream of being a truck driver, without leaving the comfort of my home. Although I wish there was more exploration in other states, Idaho the most. The only problems I ever have is occasionally it will crash and goes to my most recent saved game, which can be quite annoying. My computer is pretty old so it's probably just my computer. Other than that, the game is quite fun and I love exploring around seeing the sites, it might be a game, but it still has some beautiful scenery. 10/10
P.S. It's fun driving down a 55 mile road at 100 mph blasting country music.
Critical bug in June 29 build:
Added a bug this morning when I was fixing Chinese subject names. So the game crashed just after the first Aiko dialogue.
So anyone who started a new game at June 29 experienced this. Fixed it thanks to Alexis Daniel who emailed me about this one. It was a small typo in the Chinese History subject name and it broke the game.
Stressed and paranoid. Going for a 4 day vacation. I hope I didn't add any new bugs recently and some of old ones really fixed.
. Chinese localization:
Hello, everyone!
Chinese localization is ready and I hope it's good )
If you find some mistakes or misspellings or anything, please let me know.
I forgot to order a translation of game's steam page and this announcement so I'm sorry that I write to you in English.
Enjoy the game!
