It's rare to watch a film like this in the Philippines. To watch something different. The story is also very relevant to what is currently happening to the country.

Overall, this movie is very tense...even better than most Hollywood action films. I will not be surprised if it will get many awards...it's just so good. Anne Curtis surprisingly delivers a fantastic performance. You'll really see a very different Anne Curtis here, very different from the characters she played before. She nailed her portrayal as the brave heroine of the movie. I'm also very impressed by Arjo Atayde, he's just superb. I didn't even know it was him until I searched the cast list on the internet. Actually, everyone is simply fantastic. Cinematography...great as well.

The story is set on only one horrific and thrilling night in the ugly slums of Tondo. Fun fact I've read, the story takes place on one single day and the movie took 2 years to make. And it shows, the whole director, the whole cast and crew really put great effort to make a wonderful movie we can be proud of to show to other countries.

My only little complain is that the camera is sometimes too shaky.

Can't wait to watch more movies like these though. Though visually violent and graphically bloody, this movie is NOT a waste of my time. It's truly not for anyone below 18 years of age, in our humble opinion. The director's portrayal of the "drug war" happening is quite fascinating, but not necessarily thoroughly accurate.

If you are entertained by "300" - this is also on the same page, just don't set your expectations too high.

You'll have to pay attention in the last 25 minutes of this movie to appreciate. Add a surprisingly talkie ending that tries to walk back the no-holds-barred bloodshed for the revelation of a secret I honestly didn’t care about anymore and I found myself fatigued rather than excited.
