This is a great and a very solid souls-like action rpg game, it's pretty much the only high quality sci-fi souls-like action rpg out there, it might be rough around the edges but simply judging by the gameplay it has tons of different weapons, environments, enemies, bosses, nicely done combat system which involves third person shooting, dodging and carefully evading attacks and going full melee when needed.
Very nice sense of progression with tons of loot and bosses, oh and did i forget to mention New Game+?There is always a need to acquire some new loot and it actually feels rewarding.
Now i give this amazing gem 8.5\/10 because of some annoying enemies at few sections of the game but problems with them is mostly due to inexperience, once you learn the tactics they are much easier to fight yet are still quite formidable opponents.. I have never asked for a refund for a game before, but this might be my first. Before purchasing I did a little research, watched a couple videos and kind of thought to myself, "It can't actually be that bad, can it?" well, I suppose unfortunately for me and everyone else that shelled out the thirty bucks, it really is. Everything in the game is just bleh, the artistry is bleh, the enemy design is bleh, the music is bleh, the story is bleh, the combat is bleh. Normally I will suffer through a game for at least a few hours before I make a decision wether I think it is bad or not, but this one from the start just felt poorly made. Its a let down for sure, cool concept, very, very poorly executed.. I can't even finish the tutorial, this is a boring game. Maybe I should give it more of a chance, but the character is slow to straff, slow to move around, has weird inventory control, and you can't use guns that you pick up until you get to an obilisk. I might try it again later, but I'm not enthusiastic about it.. Dark Souls meets gears of war. Unforgiving but rewarding shooter. This is the best game of the 00's you never played.

New Game+ News!:

Hello fellow Immortals!

It is finally time to start lifting the lid on New Game+ for Immortal: Unchained! For different games, New Game+ can mean different things, so we wanted to go a bit more into detail with what New Game+ will be like in Immortal: Unchained.

First of all, there will be a total of four extra possible playthroughs with each one being progressively more difficult. You will be offered to start NG+ after you defeat the final boss (no spoilers!), or if you have already done so, by interfacing with the Monolith. That enables you to keep exploring the world before starting NG+ if you should so want to. Maybe you still have some armor shrines to collect or locked chests to open, and we don’t want to force you into NG+ before you’re ready.

Once you do choose to start NG+, the full character will transfer over and start at the beginning of the game. This means that you keep stats, weapons, armor upgrades, and items. The only things that are reset are the world state, so all bosses are alive again ( monster!), and the keys that you are carrying. Lore items will also carry over, so if you’re missing some last drops for the Lore Master achievement, then you can continue collecting in NG+. We wanted the extra playthroughs to be a continuation of your game rather than a total restart, and this is our guiding design.

We are also adding specific achievements for finishing each extra playthrough. These achievements won’t count towards the Completionist achievement, because we’re not gonna be jerks and take that away from you...

In the following weeks, we’ll drill down a bit more into equipment and armor as well as enemies, but we hope that you’re all excited to soon try this out!

Today sees a new patch for all platforms, with some design tweaks, support for the upcoming DLC and some bug fixes.

* Enabled reentry into Malog's arena for save files that haven't defeated Malog yet. We're looking into also enabling it for old save files.
* Added center dot to all crosshairs
* Auto-reload can now be turned off in gameplay settings, which can be beneficial for people playing as the Cursed One with the Flagellation curse active
* Consumables in the inventory are now ordered by their type and quality
* The dpad now works the same way as the analog stick when navigating menus
* Consumables can now be cycled while stunned
* Added obelisk before the final boss fight, because the sprint of death got old
* Reduced stability damage dealt by teleporting enemies (Lurkers) in the first half of Apexion (Skypath) to avoid player death by stagger
* Reduced the blast radius for Ice Slug suicide attack in Apexion

* Enabled support for the upcoming DLC & added DLC button to main menu

* Fixed area where you could fall through ground when starting the game in the tunnel between Scar of the Abyss and Charnels
* Fixed potential granting of fractional bits
* Fixed glitching enemy in Grand Hall right after load (It wasn’t Aras after all!)
* Fixed a bug where dialogue choices wouldn’t have a default
* Fixed lighting issues in the Apexion throne room
* Fixed a bug where you could keep playing after you died if you had the Flagellation curse
* Fixed so that the curse of Flagellation won't deal damage anymore in a small time frame after the reload has finished
* Fixed typo in cenotaph for Fireslugs
* Fixed bug where melee damage on knocked down enemies didn't use correct weapon damage or element type
* Fixed performance issue in Arlen fight

Unfortunately, a small bug got introduced in the last patch, which kept the Grand Hall portal open after finishing the game. This is now fixed, and as penance we have also enabled re-entry into Malog's arena for old saves, which didn't make it into the last patch.

. First patch going live now!:
The first patch is now going live and in this patch we have fixed some of the most common bugs & crashes that people have reported in forum.

Additionally, we have slightly nerfed the ammo for shotguns and buffed the ammo for assault rifles. This is just the first of many balance fixes, and while we believe that especially assault rifles still need another buff, we don’t want to just randomly throw numbers around. It’s a big game, and we want to do things correctly. However, we are as always looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Bugs & crashes:
- Fixed an issue that could corrupt the save file. Player will now be sent to the Monolith as a fallback for this issue.
- Fixed a crash on swapping weapons at obelisk
- Player no longer shoots when closing a pop-up
- Cosmetic fixes in level
- Audio fix on stomp attack
- Fixed exploit in the Stream, so you can't reach the obelisk from lower platform
- Aras no longer repeat the same line twice
- Power attacks are now blocked while interacting with NPCs to avoid an issue where you couldn’t un-aim
- Fixed a bug that caused the Frostclaw SMG to have 100m range instead of the correct 13m.

Balance Fixes:
- Assault rifles get an increased ammo cap based on assumed accuracy. In-accurate assault rifles get a bigger increase than accurate ones.
- All shotguns get a slightly decreased ammo cap.
- Iska's healing recovery was decreased from 55 seconds to 25 seconds
