I was hesitant to buy this game when I saw the number of poor reviews (the majority of which seem to be before the march update), but I recently purchased it on sale for a couple of bucks and I have been greatly enjoying it. The graphics are simplistic and old school, but that doesn't bug me as I'm more into the tycoon gameplay aspect than cutting edge graphics. And, although there are some kinks to be worked out, overall as a _tycoon_ game I would judge it to be pretty good for the price I purchased it at. I've certainly gotten some fun out of it.

There should definitely be more of a tutorial or guide though, as some important aspects of management are just discovered along the way and might be missed by some players. And some of the "quests" are unclear and use words that don't match up with item names. For example, one quest called for a "fog machine" - this ended up being the "smoke cannon" found under the equipment tab of some themes. The inventories are different between different themes, but this can sometimes be a handicap - like getting a quest where you have to place an object that isn't available for the theme you picked, and not being able to go back and choose a different theme once you reach that point.

Even when not on sale, I feel the price is perfectly reasonable considering the amount of play I've gotten out of the game. I'm hoping there will be further updates to fix some of the aforementioned issues and perhaps expand a bit, but it is also fully playable and enjoyable as is.. Now i know i want to get this out of the way the game is fun for about almost 30 mins or so then the problems arise
the music is good the art is pretty good but the main problem is theres almsot nothing to do for a tycoon game look at almost any other tycoon game and there is way more stuff to do roller coaster tycoon basically build your own theme park moon tycoon build a surviving moon settlement. this game is missing features that would make it a good tycoon game (it has the peices to do so), right now all that it has going for it is the art and music witch i want to stress is pretty dam good and well made but it needs more features witch i hope will be added soon then i can make this a recommended review but right now i cant atleast not in good thoughts. fun but reset my progress for no reason ♥♥♥♥ off. RIght now I think it needs a lot of work but I do see great potential in it. I will come back to it when its out of early access and change my review then. Good beginning game play but eather the mid to late game needs more ironing out or its difficalty curb is way to high. Not sure withch. Also for the time being perhaps its only a party Hard skined tycoon game. Haven't had the killer show up to any of my parties yet. This game does NOT deserve all the negative reviews it has been accumulating.

It's unique, interesting, and a fresh spin on an already successfull idea. The game is improving, and I have no doubt they will turn it into something awesome. Keep it up, Pinoki!. UPDATE: The devs have now stopped working on this game to focus all their efforts on Party Hard 2. As such I no longer feel I can recommend purchasing this game. It's an EA title that is not in active development.

Party Hard Tycoon is a party management game that uses the Party Hard universe (and a lot of its assets) to bring life to parties, rather than the death the original game has you create.

The aim of the game is to create the best parties possible and make enough of a profit to ensure your next one is even better. You start with a reasonable budget but dear lord don't make the same mistake I did and spend it all on one party (leave the damn DJ table alone!) because this is your overall budget and not on a party-by-party basis. As with Party Hard the music is excellent and the graphics are easy on the eyes. It's a great concept and I can see having a lot of fun with it as the game moves through Early Access.

I've encountered two problems thus far that limit the potential of the game though. First of all, the graphics don't really scale with the resolution you choose. If you have a big monitor the text becomes at best a little blurry and at worst borderline unreadable, the map suffers a similar issue. This doesn't have much of an effect on in-party graphics, but I would expect the text to be crisp, clear and readable on all resolutions. Secondly, you need to place speakers literally EVERYWHERE if you want to avoid guests exclaiming "where is music?" every few seconds and this really eats up a big portion of your budget. I had guests stand directly behind a speaker and say this on more than one occasion, the radius in which music is audible to guests needs to be more realistic.

As I said earlier, it's a fun concept and it's one I'm very much interested in, but at the moment some real work needs to be done to the mechanics in order to make this more enjoyable, including a more in-depth tutorial. I'd still recommend picking it up though since it's very reasonably priced and, despite its current shortcomings, it's an enjoyable game that has real promise.. Ok so i seen this game ....thought about it and this is 100% a cash grab seems to me the only way to summon a Dev is to say the game is "DEAD" WITCH IT IS i have tried countless times to gain fans but u cannot ......the game is broken i also want to point out i really and mean i REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THIS GAME.....but its a broken pile of dog crap just like in my front lawn its worthless and pointless updates are not coming they post those to get people to still buy the game it will never be fixed ( btw to the devs this is your review on steam, really pisses me off when you sell a game and dont intend to fix what is wrong with it. if your not going to support the game anymore then dont sell it, IT IS DEAD JUST END IT AND STOP GETTING PEOPLE TO BUY IT!!!!).
