Played through it with my girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon. It took about 4 hours, but around two hours of that was bashing our heads against a wall on the very last boss, not seeing the one little thing we needed to interact with- I get the feeling this might not have been extensively playtested from a couch 15 feet away & in daylight.

I really like the core mechanic, and it's done very well (though maybe not flawlessly). But where this game really shines is in playing it alongside somebody you trust. I've had very few co-op experiences I've enjoyed as much and would not hesitate to mention this game in the same breath as Portal 2.

It's a short game that probably costs too much relative to its length, and which completely falls apart at the final boss... on multiple levels. But playing through everything up to that boss was a fantastic experience and made our day. I wish there were more co-op puzzle games like this in the world.. Short, very short, stylish puzzle platformer.

Recommended to play in local co-op.

The game has issues on startup with two Xbox360 controllers loosing sink and causing freezes. Problem got bypassed (never fixed) by alt-tabbing and back. Game takes ages to load intro and first level.

"Rope-shadow" mechanic button configuration is minfdnumbingly stupid.

The last part with the boss is annoying.. It's a funny game and you really need to be smart with puzzling. The graphics are good but some levels where very difficult and I had to try it over and over again for 100 times. If you like a puzzling challange then I'd reccomend you'd grab this game but if you're not a good thinker and want to play quick then I wouldn't reccomend it.

The price compared to the game itself is normal.. I've tried this game both as co-op and single player and even though the game shines brightest when playing co-op, it baffles my mind how so many dismiss the single player as unplayable. The closest comparison I could find is that controlling both characters at the same time is like playing an instrument (piano, guitar, etc); you have to disconnect your hands from each other to play them right. It's not something many people can pick up instantly, but after a bit of practice anyone can get into the groove.

Co-op is, as I've said, the mode I enjoyed the most (and from what I can tell it's designed around). It's probably best to see the single player as an added challenge extending the co-op part of the game. And with all these local co-op action games coming out it's good to have a puzzle game to chill out with.

The devs have also been updating with bug fixes and gameplay tweaks which is great.

If you play on keyboard I would highly recommend you remap the keys to something you feel is comfortable. But since this is a platformer you should play it with a controller, like all platformers should.. A story about a boy and his shadow, this game makes it's players totally immersed in everything that's going on. The puzzles are actually a little tricky at times and are a lot of fun to solve. I find myself being connected to the other player on a different level, since everything depends on total co-operation, and because you always have to be close to eachother, or you die. And the way the game looks is really charming in it's own kind of way!

I recommend this game to anyone out there that needs something to play locally, since you can beat it in a single session. I also joined a couple buddies to play through this game at Gigacon 2014, and i had a lot of time to observe it. We beat it in a single sitting, for about 3-4 hours, and we had an absolute blast. It had a really artistic feel and is something i have been looking for for a while.. Great game to play in co-op.
The last boss was so HARD though..... There's nothing here that you haven't seen done before or done better. Waste of time.. So the 3D controls need work. The final boss has a glitch that will not complete the level even when all the objectives are met. I would not play this game if you are on the verge of suicide, since it may put you over the edge.. While the idea is fantastic it was just poorly executed. The isometric 3D camera focused too much on helping the shadow perform their platforming while the other player is left confused as to where they actually are. The whole game seems too focused on the shadow mechanics and the coop elements are weak at best.. A lovely twist on the traditional co-op platformer. While it has a single player mode, I wouldn't recommend it, co-op is where this game shines. While enjoyable, there are a few niggling problems that keep the game from being perfect. The controls are, at times, sluggish. This makes some of the more precise puzzles a bit challenging to complete and can cause them to feel tedious at times.
Overall a great game with a few kinks that one hopes can be worked out in future updates. 3.5\/5
