Really fun game! Highly recommended if you enjoy playing the D&D Adventure Series board games it is based on. Great replayability, and enough extra features to keep you playing over and over. Can't wait to see DLC, and hoping for multiplayer and maybe versions of the older board games in this series.. It's a decent port of a board game (style at least, I've never seen this specific set of tiles and monsters). Fun and simple. It could use better tutorial or a manual. **Edit** This has been on my pc for a bit now as my alternate game. It fits well into that slot, devs seem to be committed to improving the game. They added some DLC, but it is far from mandatory and the game itself is cheap. I'm all for it if it keeps the dev making new content.. lets see now, i got about 10 hrs on it so far. never had the pleasure of the boardgames,but,i like this,now i understand the mechanics better. its pretty straight forward turn based affair with some interesting end turn mechanics,which keep the pressure on you. same party members will probably get a bit boring after a while so any additions to characters and monster types,quests and unique surprises in the future could only boost a very tidy little game. i hope to see more content become available soon. all in all though,its a good D&D title,easy and quick to play a few quests before bedtime. character system and crafting are fairly basic but work fine for the most part,which enables some customisation for character load outs. it is RNG so if you want to win every encounter and craft items without fail,you may be dissapointed.. It's fun for the first couple hours, but there's relatively little character progression. If you want a D&D or in-depth RPG experience, skip this. The skills you start with are all you get for the entire game. The only 'progression' is the crafting system, which gives you + bonuses to hit/damage for your skills or your AC. 'Levelling up' just gives you crafting components. It's more of a tactics game than an adventure or RPG game. Oh, and don't get me started on the spell ward skeletons.. Great party isometric rpg with maximum replayability.. Very good adaptation of the D&D boardgames! There is a progression system of the characters and the campaign seems good too!. This game has some real challenge to it. Wasn't all so obvious for the first hour, but once you get the hang of it, there is a lot of fun to be had. Perfect for quick games since the challenges aren't all that time consuming. Turn based, relaxed, liked it.. Really good game. I don't usually like solo player game but I do enjoy this game and plan on finishing it soon. Once you get use to the mechanics it gets really fast paced which I like.. I have almost all of the D&D adventure board games: Ravenloft, Ashardalon, Drizzt and Elemental Evil. I don't have the Tomb of Annihilation one so this is a fresh game for me in that aspect. This game is true to the board game system, it has the same rules and same mechanics. Because I love the adventure board games, of course I love this game too. I must warn you however, this is NOT for RPG enthusiasts. If you want to play a good RPG, seek elsewhere. The only real and huge downside to this game is the lack of multiplayer, as the adventure board games are meant to be played with more people. Yes, I know you can play them solo as well but it is more fun with more people.
