An excellent narrative experience THAT ALSO HAS fun gameplay AND the gameplay and narrative experience link together well WITH (in my interpretion) the metaphors spanning the psychological experiences of the secondary characters, the way gameplay progresses and also in terms of the ways visuals are used to display those experiences. If you're the kind of person who likes smaller, interesting games then: yes. Buy it.. A short game with neat art, and a fairly well-handled theme. Recommended. For those like me with bad hands (or who're just bad with gamepads), there are much-appreciated "Easy" and "Narrative" difficulty levels.. yeah decent enough game you really just going around burning stuff while some dude complains.. Do not recommend. There's some going for it--the combat goes from simple, to tense, but unfortunately back to simple again once you realize the entire trick is a well-timed dodge. The atmosphere can be pretty creepy. The story.tries really hard. But in the end, it's short, the play is dull, the story is poisonously didactic, and the "Content warning" gives away the schtick right off the bat. "Obviously, all of this is metaphorical," I thought, after maybe 10 minutes in. Then it's a trudge that goes exactly where you expect it to. Then there's the message. I get it: respec wahmen. But all this can do is breed anxiety, neurosis, and self-loathing in people who are already bombarded with mixed messages about how to treat the opposite sex, and who is responsible for romantic and sexual signalling, and who is responsible for miscommunication. I wouldn't want my sons or daughter to play this. The story's "Degrassi Junior High" take on these issues is the most modern of pop psychology and woman-oriented gender studies. This is harmful and untenable, which will be apparent when we finally recover from this gynocentric hysteria currently plaguing Western culture. I give this game a point for one mechanic I found clever: Discarding the "armor" to make inventory room for the "truth" bits. It's too obvious the game considers this always the correct answer, but the sacrifice aspect of it works. It gets a point as well for being a passable blend of narrative and play. Unfortunately though, the play is dull and the narrative is societally harmful. Not only would I not recommend this, my advice is to actively avoid this title.. This game is fantastic! As I played this game, it seemed really realistic with the talking. It was also really interesting that you could choose different paths like when you are talking with someone in the game you could disagree or agree and that could lead on to what happens later on in the game. I personally think maker/creator of the game made multiple story paths so this game has meaning and liveliness. This game is also really fun even though it is kind of difficult at first, but you will get the hang of it in about 5 minutes, and thatu2019s what makes it fun. This game is not just some mindless action, there is also a hint of logic and thinking. I felt accomplishment because of the mixture of feelings and actions in the game. Besides, the game pictures are well-designed and very artistic and I also liked the music. One suggestion for upgrading the game is to include some AI elements, for example, using speech recognition to conduct speech conversation.. what a game. the narrative is both harrowing and engaging, complimented by amazing sound design and effective visuals. what a treat it is then, for the gameplay to be also interesting and challenging at some times.. Dark souls but the only class is pyromancer and all the enemies are the nutsack tree.. Very interesting story so far. Controls with an Xbox One Controller are great and the art style is really nice too.. If you are looking for an amusing videogame then The Other Half is not your sort of thing. I'm not saying it's a bad game, on the contrary, the style is interesting, the soundtrack accurate and it smartly links the psychological experiences of the characters to the visual elements of the game and to the objects you can find on the walkthrough. The point is that it deals with an uncomfortable topic, tickling the player's consciousness. Without spoilers I can only tell you to take the sexual assault warning seriously.. A short game with neat art, and a fairly well-handled theme. Recommended.
