Interesting design, 7.5/10. + great mood and visuals
+ interesting, detailed lore
+ nice RPG elements
+ the fragmentation of the campaign into trials
+ skills add a decent amount of depth to the combat

- iffy combat, takes a while to get used to
- some monsters like the elementals are outright doinks, but that's more a consequence of the iffy combat

Overall, I recommend it, it somehow feels old school to me while also looking very new and modern. Good job! If the combat could get a little better (or I learn how to play better), it would be freaking awesome! I want to at least auto-turn to the enemy when I'm in range and I attack (but maybe I've just become a filthy casual, oh no!). Pros:
-Can be fun
-Atmosphere
- Challenging

Cons:
- It's not polished
-The objectives are not clear
- A few bugs

6\/10. Pros:

6\/10. This game was alot of small twist in platforming games and a good amount of challenges. I wasn't some god or op character which made me focus on the game alot more. loot was distrubited fairly and it made explore the area finding new things which was cool. The level up system was okay and I'm not sure if it had any effect on my character. It got buggy when i wasn't able to damage to goblins that applied the slowing condition on me out of nowhere and the my attack animation wasn't as fast as i though it would be. Most of the monsters could tank damage which I thought i could stagger them, and basic monster can one or two shot you. Monster placement was not to my liking as well as i could not get to a portal without a mob ganging up on me or two golems camping by a gate i needed to open to progress. how ever This is fun and i can't for the imporvements to be made. Great story, the platforming can be difficult if you don't learn from your mistakes. The bosses are difficult and a good place to learn the controls well as you die repeatably.

Expect to die a ton of times. Some areas seem almost impossible to survive through the first try, but you can keep attacking it an wearing it down as you become more skilled.

Don't expect an easy game. I am pushing through because I love the story. Also after the about 300th death I think I am getting the hang of it. I just need to stop standing on traps while looking for where to go next.

Note: there are a few things that could be done to improve the experience a bit, and I am sure they are working on them.. I will start by saying that I do not know when I grew so old. Better said, I reckon time is defined by some sort of sarcasm that I do not always understand. Although I cannot always tell when it flies by me with increasing speed, I do observe that my own tolerance for crap has been drastically falling. Especially for video games, one of the primary hobbies that I still keep.

What happened to this medium of art, one cannot tell. In a mass of unrecognizable products, with too little uniqueness to show for themselves, the consumer ends being tormented by mediocrity to a point where one prefers to reorient oneself to other means of entertainment.

From time to time, especially now that technology has allowed for the expression of unknown talent to wider markets, you stumble upon little gems that remind one why so much energy had been invested in pixels swirling behind a piece of glass or plastic.

Azuran Tales, although not without its own faults, minuscule in comparison with much grander titles that I have played this year, makes my heart warm at the sight of a long-passed childhood enjoyed in the company of titles that constantly stared at me with unflinching conviction that one must first suffer before enjoying the fleeting senses of happiness.

It is an unforgiving title that will treat you well if one just invests enough for it to consider you worthy.

Another great opportunity to support inventive and talented developers that still want games to be what they once were: the opportunity to explore the need for self-improvement.

I do recommend it, and I hope that you will enjoy this as much as your time allows.

We've heard you:

Hello everyone,

Crazy days!

Some of you requested a better controller support (we currently have limited controller support). We are here to tell you that we are working on it. It will require a bit of a change in code but we are on it.

For those who did not buy the game because of this, rest assured it will be available as soon as possible (and hopefully bug-free).

Stay tuned guys and thank you for your support!

Have a cool day,
TTG Team

. Patch LIVE for Steam Winter Sale:
Hello everyone, we have a new patch today.

Patch Notes:

"We fixed some bugs and we created other bugs to be fixed later"

Known issue - animations, our bane, are still sometimes a bit weird - we are working on it but we need to rewrite part of the animator and will take a bit.
Known issue - the sound volume for ambient SFX and music are not the same - the file themselves have different sound levels - we are still investigating a fix

Achievements - removed two achievements because after a lot of debate we came to the conclusion that they were not fun, like, no. <Orc Slayer, Was that a boss? - removed>

Fixes:
- Fixed an issue that prevented the user to change resolutions
- When not using a controller or mouse+keyboard - the switch between them should create a lot let issues
- We've also fixed some Achievements that were not triggering
- Removed some black text labels that were appearing in the settings screen for toggles
- Fixed some animations for monsters - they should get stuck a lot less now and create fewer issues
- Navigating inside the Skill Book and Lore Pages should not stuck the character in "pause" mode anymore
- Pressing ESC from the keyboard should correctly pause the game and let the user navigate it

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!

Best regards,
TTG Team. Hot- Patch for a crash has been applied.:
