That feeling of a well deserved victory as you sit back in your seat and exhale a deep sigh of relief.

DEAD pits you against ten spooky, meaty, angry bosses with tight controls and a banging soundtrack!

You'll die. A lot. And you might end the universe in the process.

Game play

Dead is tough but fair. It is not meant to be impossible and does not rely on cheap "gotcha" moments. With tight controls the greatest challenge will be yourself. Learn the moves, perfect the fight and pummel those bosses until their dead!

Want to heal? Stand still as long as you can!
Need to recharge your dodge? Don't attack!

NG+?

NG+ comes with the ability customize your difficulty in layers.

These modes do not come down to "they have more health now" but will truly test your mettle.

Great for speed running or to experience easy bosses with a fresh coat of hard!

Absolute garbage. Play mini dead instead, it's free, the mechanics are so much more original and the boss fights are all pretty fair. In DEAD, there is no invincibility frame and every attack from every boss is pretty much made just to abuse the lack of this one essential feature. You are going to find yourself surrounded by like 50 things that can hit you and all it takes is four to kill you. Oh, and some bosses just staight up teleport on top of you or make projectiles spawn between your buttcheeks. They say this game is about that satisfying feeling you get when you finally complete a hard boss fight, but they are not really hard, they are just so poorly designed that you need to retry until nothing unfair happens (like a boss charging at you, throwing a shield at your face, making that shield explode to then charge at you again at the speed of light, all in like four seconds). Also, you can regen health by standing still... Go ahead, try... Most of them will never give you a chance to stop moving and most of my deaths were caused by me trying to regen only to get combo'ed so hard that it puts Mortal Kombat's fatalities to shame. I'm not trying to convince you not to by the game. It's only five dollars, so you shouldn't spend to much time hesitating before you by it. In fact, I don't even know why you're still reading this. Anyway, I'm just warning you : this game isn't hard because of the boss fights; it's hard because you're playing as a slow moving pebble lookin' piece of crap that dies faster than a black guy in a horror movie. If you die (and you will), tell yourself that it's not your fault, your fate was sealed when the boss decided to abuse that one dumb move for the hundredth time. I know I won't be playing dead ever again... unless I run into a grizzly while taking a walk in the woods to forget about my urge to punch a hole through my monitor. Reach the final boss and you'll see what's up with that whole monitor punching business.... pretty cool. A fun little game! Stumbled upon it while trying to get rid of four euros in my steam wallet, got intrigued by the concept of only boss fights. I love a challenge, and I love bossfights, so why not.

Turned out to be a lot of fun. The dodge is a nice ability that makes it different from other bullet hell types of games I've seen and played. The way that you have to learn the movesets of the bosses through trial and error also gives it a Soulsborne vibe, in my opinion, which is great. And replaying bosses is quick, which means you won't get frustrated in the process.

Solid soundtrack, solid boss design itself. A boss that I hated, Furnace, turned into my favorite of them all. The boss feels like a dance and the dodging in that fight especially gives me that feel that I loved in Bloodborne, but in pixel form.

A lot of updates by the dev, fun gameplay and didn't encounter any bugs while playing. A solid game, totally worth it.. This is so cool, I love it.. It is 100% worth for the price, a definite yes.. This Game is awesome if a rating system was available I would give it 9001\/10 it is that good. The controls don't feel clunky and overall if I had the time I would play this game for the whole day and into the night. I've been hyped for this game for so long not and let me tell you, it was worth the wait.
