About This Game

DubWars is an action-packed arcade shooter that successfully combines music and gaming in a way never seen before. We've collaborated with incredible EDM and Dubstep artists to create a game that synchronizes the energetic music with fun and exciting gameplay. The music becomes your weapon as they fire in sync to the rhythm of the song, each beat firing a unique weapon. Listen to the bass, up beats, climax, and the drop of each song in order to progress through each level's difficulty. Analyze the risk and reward of collecting Wubs from destroyed enemies in order to upgrade, or just try to frantically survive the song!

Without the controller, this game is amusing. With it, you can swim through sound. You can glide and celebrate beat drops with lasar lightshows. Not only is the base design fun, but each level has its unique enemies and weapon visuals. After each song, win or lose, you can upgrade your weapons to even more dazzling levels. If you have a controller, you can compete for top scores in classic arcade style. Without one, you can muddle through the intro levels. If I'm not being clear: use a controller. You can research online how to find the right drivers.. well first things first what i dont like, i dont like moening i like to look at the ups of the game so things i dont like.
somebody did mention about the curser and yes sometimes you cant see it it. also what is sometimes annoying is that you do get bombarded with eniemes even in easy but you have a lot of health so i do see reasons.

now on to the good things. the timeing and the music is brillient love it so much. the lights and all of the textures are good. also the moving around is smooth you dont jag around its a nice smooth movement.

things i would like them to add
i do see that they are going to add 4 or 5 more songs but i think for a £14 it should be a bit more than just 9 songs.
i did get it today though 22/06/2014 and it was on half price £7 so i got a good deal.
also if they could add custom spirets so instead of being that head phone thing maybe other types of headphones or diamond shape or something.
so all in all as it is still in developmant probably about a 7/10 great game just needs a bit more work. i love this game but one thing can you please bring back eclipse i love that song why did you take it out on the lastist update? i hope you guys keep updating and that you dont let this game down its amazing and it has alot of potential
(p.s. could you fix the menu please?). i love the music, controls are good, the pauses in the some of the levels makes it really awkward to try and move around enemy cause it can go on for over 4-10 seconds which is a pain in the♥♥♥♥♥♥ Also, please make it easier to get the settings to change audio settings is LOUD as all heck. Aside from that, if you like asriods on steroids with some amazing tracks. Buy it now!. Dubwars is one of the most unique games i've played in quite a while. The level design and enemies are visually stunning and stand out in a genre full of cookie cutter environments. The only problem I have with this game is that I've become throughly addicted to the point of losing massive amounts of time or trying to fight utter exhaustion for just a couple more play throughs.

10/10 worth every minute i've thrown into it. Well, they completely remade DubWars from scratch again, so I'd better talk about this.

Ever since DubWars came out, I have been a huge fan and decided that this could be the coolest game ever if they execute it just right. Up until now, they haven't. They were froced to completely remake the game into something crappy and had a huge setback, but since they've rebuilt the game, I suppose I'd bettter talk about this update.

And it's MUCH BETTER. Almost a great game now, but definitely lacks some polish. They finally got the upgrades system going, but it's very confusing, since many of the icons look the same and have no description for them. And god, are you going to need these upgrades, because the gameplay itself has become very hard. Fortunately it's not impossible. The weapon designs and enemy designs are great and are put in very well according to the song, and it's pretty exhilarating, though takes a while to get used to.

They have a level system now, too. Every time you get to the end of a song, a new one is unlocked. The game starts off with easiser levels first, which I like, but I'm a bit upset because it took me many levels to get to the Dubstep songs I so badly wanted to play, but with patience and practice, you are well rewarded.

So overall I feel like this game is going in a really good direction and I would recommend getting it on sale, but right now, $20 is extremely steep.. The game is so fun to play and it's really well made

In my opinion the game is 10/10. Tbh when I got this from the Curiosity Box I wasn't too excited, but once I started playing, that all changed. First Impressions weren't good, as the main menu and graphics were too high res, but once I got into the game I fell in love. What matters about this game isn't the graphics, but the music and how well it is used as a weapon. This game got me into EDM, and now I follow all the artists whose music is used in the game. The different array of weapons is awesome, and reminded me of a bird's-eye view Star Fox. I you like games with good soundtracks, i.e. Crypt of the Necrodancer and Hyper Light Drifter, this is definitely the game for you.. Stupid mindless fun, it put a smile on my face. (got it on sale for like $2, easily worth it)

The progression is a bit wierd, so spread out your playthrough and play a round or two between other games, so you don't get tired of replaying the same tracks over and over in a row to unlock the other tracks.

It would be cool if there was a way to load your own tracks like Audio surf, but i fully understand that doing that and getting everything to sync up in a balanced way could be incredibly difficult. /2c
