About This Game

The Story

Insane Decay of Mind: The Labyrinth is a first person horror game. You play the role of Katherine, a young girl lost in the eerie hallways of a building she believes to be her school.
As she begins to realise that this labyrinth that she has found herself in, is slowly warping her mind; She must make her escape in order to regain her freedom.
But freedom comes at tremendous cost.
Leaving the labyrinth is not as easy as it seems as you are not alone, there are entities that wish to keep you from escaping.
During your dreadful experience, you will meet beings called "Shadows", manifestations of your worst nightmares; you will have to subdue them as you continue wandering the darkness that envelopes you and, perhaps, you will achieve your freedom.

Why is the Game Named This?

Insanity is undoubtedly the main element: represented by the Shadow, it will encompass the entire story, haunt every frame, perhaps even disturb you own mind.
It is from insanity, from foolishness, that the decay of mind begins.
The only way to oppose this deterioration is to piece together the fragments of Katherine's story; they are hidden in the vast maze in which you find yourself, look for them very carefully. 7aa9394dea

so much jumpscares HAHAHA! best indie horror game i played! 10\/10. In its present state, playing the game with the Rift, I found several issues that prevent me from recommending it at the moment.
1. Navigation in the menues sometimes was buggy. Death sequences also trigger a load screen as if the game crashed.
2. In the Rift, the game looks greyish instead of black.
3. Locomotion feels very artificial and I also wished that you could turn by looking around (\u00e0 la Dreadhalls).
4. The halls looks empty and repetitive (by design, I guess), interaction with the environment is very limited.
5. Ambient music was good, but the sounds were not rich.

The developper mentionned updates and I will certainly return to the game to see them.. VR and Vive support is lackluster, not enjoyable :(. Poor, undeveloped game. A work in progress with lots to still do. VR was decent enough but the game itself needs major development. Should have been a free demo.. Weird, spooky fun. Not my cup of tea, but it's good value for the money. It has some interesting spooky characters. The controls are goofy, perhaps intentionally so to confuse you. It would be nice if there's some sort of loading screen, and a way to speed-past some of the death animations.. played without vr okay game lots of jump scares

Theres not much to this game, you run around in some hallways and avoiding ghosts, a few very simple puzzles, and other than that its just rinse\/repeat, atleast that is my experience, I havent tried this game with VR, so that might be a different and better experience. I dident expect more than what i got for the price tho, so if you want a short horror experience for very cheap, go ahead.
