About This Game

Ominous clouds are gathering over Persia. The good natured king Badiya is mortally ill and the demonic Grand Vizier Zaved holds his subjects in an iron grip, bringing the country to the edge of ruin. To make matters worse, a shadowy disease has appeared out of nowhere, spreading across the land. A young and talented apothecary Tara decides to find the cause of this plague and prevent it from spreading further. A quest full of puzzles and challenges awaits, one that will lead her to the far reaches of kingdom and even beyond it. Luckily for her, Tara won't be alone in this endeavour. She will be assisted by a mysterious acrobat and swordsman Darius, as well as goofy but kind-hearted geenie Minu. I enjoyed this game and was sad that it was so short. Only 3 hours for me. I liked the Arabian Nights theme with a mythical touch. I'm tired of horror, ghosts and asylum HOs!
Graphics were good, music was lovely (full orchestra) and dialogue amusing. Puzzles were fairly easy and HO scenes were few and far between I completely forgot about the palace markings, so missed that achievement!
I hope they make a sequel to this. 7.5 from me.. If you like HO/puzzle games, then get it. Good story, good characters, scenes, graphics and music. One of Artifex Mundis best published/produced games.. This game reminds me of Prince of Persia series. A mysterious disease spread across the land where a young apothecary named Tara lives and try to find the source of this plague to prevent it from spreading. She ventured to find a way to stop it and in her way, she met a mysterious young man who assisted her throughout her adventure and beat the shadow lord. In order to restore peace, a Talisman must be used by the three champions of the light: The Primordial Simurgh, Orion the Genie, and the High King of Persia.

The artwork is good, but I liked the concept art in the extra section more. They did a good job with the voice overs, usually AM voice overs are the same, but since this one is developed by a different developer and only published by AM the voice-overs, animation and artwork are totally different than what we always see from AM.

In some sections, you control two characters and share the same inventory. I liked this new style of the game, it felt more like a point&click game with all the puzzles than a hidden objects game. It only got seven hidden objects scenes, a mix between fragmented, the usual list of names, and the others find x amount of a specific item. I didn't mind that though, sometimes throwing a hidden objects scene after another can get boring.

The collectibles are hard to spot, and there is no way to return to the previous scene after you progress in the game. Each section of the story has three or four locations, once you finish collecting the items from it you proceed to the next, so most of those collectibles can be missable. There is also a missable achievement as you have to speak with the male character and ask him about his thoughts or certain topics, if you don't do this you'll miss two achievements.

I didn't like the journal as it doesn't give enough clues and what I should do, in one of the scenes, I was asked to collect three or four things, they didn't write that in the journal, just giving you the main task that you have to open a gate! And when you ask the person who gave you the task, he will not repeat it! This will only give you one option which is using the hint button (It doesn't effect on any of the achievements unless you use it during a mini-game or hidden objects scene)

The Persian Nights is a cute game, quite short and not challenging at all. The puzzles are easy, HO scenes are insignificant addition to the game and you will probably not even notice them. There is no diary, no lore, no additional info, no bonus chapter. I can recommend it for the younger players but only if it's on sale. It is not worth the full prize. Comparing to the other HOG games it's very simplistic, both the gameplay and the story. The only reason why I am recommending it is I did enjoy playing it as a fun, short break from other games. Don't get your expectations too high, unless you are twelve. If you are looking for an intelligent, demanding puzzle solving game, this is not it. If you\u2019re looking for challenging HO game, this is not it. If you are looking for fascinating story with a twist, this is not it. A little bit of clicking, some listening and the game is over.. I can highly recommend the game.
It has an excellent story ( a kind of fairytale without fairies) and a good amount of good and varied puzzles and hidden object scenes. I enjoyed every single minute of playing Persina Nights: Sans of wonders.. If you like HO\/puzzle games, then get it. Good story, good characters, scenes, graphics and music. One of Artifex Mundis best published\/produced games.. A fun and innovative HOG.

Today we’d like to talk a little bit more about the reasons behind the change and the whole creative process. It’s no doubt that Irony Curtain came a long way from the times when it was just a prototype called simply ‘Matryoshka’.

There are three main reasons why we’ve decided to simplify the art style:

There are very few things as great as the Matryoshkan Nation - but The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity - WOŚP - is definitely one of them. It's a Polish charity dedicated to improving medical care for the youngest and oldest patients - if you'd like you can read more about them at the English WOŚP website[en.wosp.org.pl].

Long story short - for 27 years now they have been running a fundraiser in order to help provide equipment to hospitals, improve neonatological and senior patient care and even provide CPR lessons in schools.
