Hey boomers, release 2020 on steam, I don't like your website.. This is a must have for any wrestling fan.. Quite hard to master, but this is absolutely a solid game for the future Pro Wrestling Booker!!!. Spent hundreds of hours playing this. Totally worth it but when you try 2016 you just can't go back.. An in depth management simulation of the wrestling world. It takes you completely backstage of all the things that takes place behind the scenes of the real world. You can pretty much take an idea and put it to paper, but you'll soon find that the idea is either not worth it or it simply worked out for you. You have to understand every wrestler you have with a gimmick, their salary, the scheduling (whether you book them in a show too many times or not enough), learn how to build the momentum of a worker or to completely destroy their entire career, you can customize absolutely everything, and you can fall in love with the in depth micro managing side of things. The best part of this game, is that the modding community is mind blowing, from fantasy creations to updated real world mods. Currently, this modding community is somewhat lackluster since TEW16 has been out (which I own), but sadly it isn't on Steam, which it really should be. I go back and forth, as TEW13 has a better design layout in my opinion, but TEW16 is less buggy and has more features that makes a difference between the two.

If you love management games, spending hours upon hours customizing, and love wrestling, this is the game you NEED.. game was good how ever wish they had past and current wrestling originizations like ecw,wwe ,nwa /wcw ,tna stars. Great game, do not buy through steam, they don't allow you too access the system files and so you can't add content. Much needed. Waste of money here.. Great Game that all Wrestling fans should play. I only wish Valve would put later version of the game on steam as it would be great to play an updated version.. 10 x 6 = 60

Basically, this game is a glorified spreadsheet program. Your goal is to take known variables and combine them with hidden variables to get a rating that is as close to 100 as possible. For example: You create a show. In that show you have to create matches and "angles." Angles are basically the story elements. You pretty much have to just use your imagination. Seriously, all angles actually do is tell the program to compare the stats of two or more workers. In it's simplest form, (wrestler A) * (wrestler b) * (product, or fan expectations) = final rating. Now in reality, there are actually hundreds of variables to consider, but that's pretty much it.

The storylines are whatever you say they are. You can do this because you are role playing. You can type whatever you want into the story field and it makes no difference at all. You can even leave it empty. Seriously, all I could think of while trying to create a story was that episode of Family Guy where Peter lets Stewie play with his sock.

So to recap: I paid $20 for a spreadsheet/calculator program where 90% of the gameplay is your imagination. I felt like I was playing D&D by myself.

Damnit, WWE! Just give us back GM mode!

And YES, I do know how to play the game. I spent several hours on Youtube watching tutorials.. This is a pretty hardcore sport management game. It has it's flaws and doesn't handle everything from the world of pro wrestling equally well. Finances for example or certain wrestling styles work better or worse depending on what kind of company you're in charge of. It is also very time consuming to learn, but speeds up considerably once you know who the people are and how to use them effectively.

If words like "hardcore sports management" appeal to you, maybe give it a shot. Some knowledge of pro wrestling helps, but isn't that important. Afterall, how hard can it be to book a show where guys dive and pretend they're hurt? Yeah, it's just like football, only with more entertaining characters. Allways put your best guys or gals in the main event, and fill the rest with what you hope wont stink or need to experiment with, and you'll be golden (well probably not).

It's a VERY niche game. Success doesn't come easy. It's almost Dwarf Fortress level hard, but can be just as rewarding. DF has elephants, TEW has Fat Viking Luchadors. With silly masks and axes because of course it does...

Hint - Use the fog of war option. Otherwise this becomes a spreadsheet "manager" where all you do is compare numbers.

Recommended, but only if you understand that this is a slow♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ management game where most of the fun is screwing up.
